Zehra lives in the Gölcük district of Kocaeli. Her older brother is studying at Marmara University. Her mother is a housewife and her father has not been able to work since the last 5 years due to health problems. They make a living with the support of their relatives and their mother's handicrafts. Zehra is studying at Şevketiye Cephesi Anatolian High School and she gets a certificate of appreciation every semester. She cannot afford the transportation expenses because the school is located quite far from where she lives.
