Baran is 15 years old and attends the 10th grade. His parents are divorced. He lives with his mother in a tent set up on an empty plot of land in Hatay Defne, with the help of neighbors. Baran has hyperthyroidism and receives regular treatment. His mother has a meniscus tear, which prevents her from working full-time.
