Baby Mine who was born on January 26 2014, who is clinging on for dear life is the sibling of her sister who was born dead. Mine who was born with 80% blindness and 100% hearing loss went under 4 big surgeries at her young age. She suffers from her intestines and kidneys and is constantly on medication for goiter. She also needs to use a hearing aid at all times as a result of problems with her ears.

While family resided in Zonguldak, they started divorce proceedings due to issues between parents. The mom, Ms. Ayşe who has lost emotional and financial support of her husband, lives in Istanbul with Mine and her 3 year old sister at the basement of the building her brother is working at as a doorman.

Mom Ms. Ayşe is having a hard time keeping up with expenses like travel costs incurred as a result of baby Mine having to go through different hospitals for different treatments since birth and visitations needed for her 3 year old sister’s asthma, costs of medications not covered by insurance, costs of food incurred as a result of being out of the house all day. Not being able to work at a regular job in order to care for her kids makes this situation even worse. On top of all these costs, family can’t afford the 13.000 TRY hearing aid baby Mine needs.

Mom Ms. Ayşe’s only wish is for Mine to go through these hurdles before the end of her development period and be treated earlier on to help her reach a level that would allow her to get a proper education in the future.
